Hi,
Harpie is astonished that his underhanded and insidious debates with his=20
father are welcomed on the list and thanks for the positive comments to the=20
thick reedplates, specially for Michelle`s post. He was amused to read that=20
his=20
father=B4s correct name CXfried can also be spelled as Seigfried or Seigfied=
,=20
huuuuuh!=20
Though Harpie graduated in harpiology at all known and unknown Oxfords he=20
still=20
claims that the 12 holes of a 270 has something to do with the 12 keys. So,=20=
I=20
often=20
ask myself why the fate punishes me so hard with this guy. But I can=B4t kil=
l=20
him=20
because then I had to invent all his incredible nonsense myself.
Seriously now, really, because Harpie is just busy to play on a naked 270.
That=B4s a chrom without cover plates amd mpc parts, just the comb with the=20
reedplates. Yes, in the "thicker reedplate" thread I forgot to mention that=20
among=20
all these MTs, HBs, 64s and CX 12 this harp torso was by far the loudest.
In case somebody tries that out, I=B4m interested to hear a comment. =20
Hi smokey-joe,
in answering to "Re: Clipping reeds" you told how you manage it that the=20
solder=20
remains on the reed:
< You need to get the reed hot enough to accept the solder, .......>
Hmmmh, nothing to say against that solder needs hot in order to melt, but I=20
think
it is crucial that the reed surface has to be absolutely clean so that the=20
solder=20
can form an alloy with the reed brass, otherwise, the solder only sticks on=20
the reed.
What do you think?
